Scope:
To reduce the numbers of population without sustainable access to safe water supply and sanitation services and strengthen capacity of local governments for citizen-oriented public service delivery, including water supply and sanitation.

Activities: Nearly 600 people particularly belong to hard core poor have been to benefited from the schemes. HYSAWA has used its proven strategy of site selection and approach of working with local governments institutions (Union parishad). UP took a lead role in planning, implementing and monitoring project activities and enjoyed full disbursement authority of all funds relating to construction of schemes. Procurement under the action, at all levels, was done in compliance with GoB rules, i.e. the Public Procurement Rules (PPR) and HYSAWA Procurement Rules. Procurement was done on the basis of competitive bidding.
