Scope: To support DPHE Cox’s Bazar on Hydrogeological and information Management activities |

Activities: Information Management Officer has continued preparing and submitting DPHE 4W report to WASH sector every month by collecting data from DPHE Sub Assistant Engineers regarding installation and water quality. Those data were also integrated into a MIS database. Supported DPHE consultant in web-based MIS development. Supported WASH sector to prepare GIS Mapping of water and sanitation infrastructures. Facilitated training for DPHE Upazila staff on different surveys. Operated CMS database of DPHE on behalf of Executive Engineer. Operated Grameen Pani app and dashboard for PSWSC project. Regularly updated DPHE Web portal. developed tools and questionnaire for different DPHE surveys. Monitoring and communications with caretaker for O&M. Conducted several field visits for data collection and validation. Day to day information support to Executive Engineer. National Hydrogeologist has continued Collection and review of existing hydrogeological data of the area. Collected Water quality data for about 4714 (newly 1159 nos.) sources and recorded in a single database. Regular reporting groundwater quality data to WASH Sector. Collected lithological bore logs for about 1358 (newly 367 nos.) from different Camps and host communities of Ukhia & Teknaf area and data entry is ongoing into customized Geological software. Collected DPHE constructed 71 nos. water networks data (each intervention point features and shape files) under EAP (ADB funded project) and EMCRP (World Bank funded project) and sent to WASH Sector to identify water networks actual coverage gap. Technical (Hydrogeological) support given to all Upazila Sub Assistant Engineers and staffs on need basis. GIS Mapping of newly constructed water and sanitation infrastructures prepared for both Camp and Host community area. Designed, developed and updated web database software of DPHE, Cox’s Bazar by its own domain name dphecoxsbazar.info as per direction of Executive Engineer. Total 6180 nos. (newly 2876 nos.) of various interventions data entry completed in both Host and Camp community area. Prepared water points database format of Ukhiya & Teknaf host communities and sent to All WASH partners. Performed several field visits for drilling works supervision, material inspection, water quality sampling and water quality field test by test kits in different locations of the district as required by DPHE. Facilitated hands-on training on lithological bore log & well design preparation and water quality testing using test kit for DPHE staff and contractors. Several PowerPoint presentations were prepared on various meeting topics and attended online and offline meetings as required by DPHE, Cox’s Bazar. |
