| Purpose | HYSAWA is an autonomous organization registered under the Companies Act, 1994. It has been financing eligible and applying Local Government Institutions to implement Climate Change Adaptation, Hygiene, Sanitation and Water Supply projects. HYSAWA is going to implement Inclusive Climate Adaptation for Resilient host communities (ICAR) project in Cox's Bazar District with support from Embassy of Denmark during 2023-28. |
| Principle Accountability | • Verification of proposed construction sites in terms of technical feasibility and compliance • Assist UPs in physical checking of the supplied materials for construction • Check that the water and sanitation hardware are in-stalled or constructed at the approved sites and followed specifications; • Monitor/follow up of the O&M of the installed water points and latrines • Ensure quality of the installed hardware to settle final bills of the contractors; |
| Entry Requirements | Knowledge (Education & Related Experience): Essential: • Graduate civil engineer with 5 years' experience /diploma civil engineering with 8 years' experience in the relevant field. • Having sufficient computer knowledge, especially MS Excel, MS Word • Prior Experience in WASH Sector is preferable. • Preference will be given to candidates having Knowledge on PPR. Desirable: • Working with Local Government Institutions (LGIs) namely: UPs and Pourashavas. Skills (Special Training or Competence): Essential: • Excellent communication skills ( both oral and written English and Bengali) • Excellent IT skills especially in word processing, spreadsheet and Power Point presentation is preferred • Decision making and negotiation skills • Report writing skills (Bengali and English). Desirable: • Ability to understand and work with infrastructure development/ project budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
